In-House Service Technician

About the Position: In-House Service Technician

The In-House Service Technician is responsible for selecting equipment and parts for daily service and installation calls, performing standard equipment repair, maintaining part and equipment inventory, and assisting walk-in customers with product questions. This position is eligible for a $3,000 Sign-on Bonus!

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Reviews daily service orders, pulls and stages equipment and parts for installations and service calls performed by Service Technicians.
  • Manages inventory quantities to ensure sufficient parts and equipment are available to meet installation and service calls. Places reorders of all equipment, filters, installation parts, plumbing parts, etc.
  • Follows established procedures to evaluate equipment function and perform appropriate maintenance and basic repair to equipment.
  • Organizes warehouse space for optimal workflow and maintains order, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Assists walk-in customers by assessing water tests, supplying product information, moving and loading salt bags to customer vehicles, and processing merchandise sales.
  • Works with accounting team to ensure all purchase orders are managed in Salesforce and closed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provides support to the Service Technicians as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintains company tools, resources, and spare parts inventory.

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and show initiative.
  • Strong work ethic with “customer centric” focus.
  • Good listening and verbal skills, and exceptional customer service phone skills.
  • Organized and able to provide detailed follow-up and follow-through of all company processes and procedures.
  • Comfortable talking to customers about product and payment options.
  • Valid drivers’ license and a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills; understanding the technology contained in the company’s products is essential.
  • Accurate management of data, willingness to help others and an interest in executing responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
